Royal winners: Webbs named winter festival King, Queen

The 2017 Presidents Day Weekend Winter Festival, held February 18th and 19th, at Lakeside Park in Mayville honored Mayville residents Ben and Amy Webb as this year's Festival King and Queen.

Festival Committee members Tom and Debbie Przepiora of Mayville made the presentation on Saturday, Feb. 18 at the festival. The Przepioras' granddaughter, Olivia Przepiora, was a part of the royal court as this year's Festival Princess.

Presenters Tom and Debbie Przepiora said it best as to why the Webbs were chosen this year. "One of the great things about this community is that there are individuals, families, businesses, and couples who exemplify the spirit that a village like this represents. And this year's king and queen are part of a family and business who are the very essence of what Mayville is about. Tradition, tourism, entrepreneurial spirit, family, community, and respect for the things that make this Village great are the attributes that contributed to their unanimous selection this year.

Ben and Amy Webb of Mayville were crowned this year’s King and Queen for the 2017 Presidents Day Weekend Winter Festival.

She is a mother, community activist, businesswoman, and partner. He is one of the hardest working members of a family who has truly made Mayville great. That sort of dedication to the past, present, and future of the Village of Mayville is why the gateway to Chautauqua Lake will continue to thrive. Please join me in honoring this year's king and queen."

The Mayville/Chautauqua Community Chamber of Commerce and the Presidents Day Weekend Winter Festival Committee congratulate Ben and Amy Webb as the recipients of this year's recognition.
