Students of the Month at Chautauqua Lake Central School honored for November and December achievements are Ian Clute, Logan Dulmus, Abigail Andriaccio, Deric Tebalt, Devin Pope and Jewel Middleton. The student recognition program honors students in grades 7 through 12 whose classroom performance, attitude toward learning, work ethic and extra-curricular activities set them apart.
Senior Ian Matthew Clute is the son of Ken and Jill Clute of Mayville. History is Ian's favorite subject. Ian competes on the CLCS varsity basketball and baseball teams, and is a member of National Honor Society. Outside of school he enjoys four wheeling, snowmobiling, working on the farm, attending basketball and baseball camps, and lifeguarding. After graduating from high school, he plans to attend a four-year college. When asked what person in history he admires, Ian said Jackie Robinson, "because of his courage and how he overcame the impossible by breaking the color barrier in Major League Baseball." If he could be another person for one day, Ian would choose LeBron James, because "of the fame and to be able to play basketball professionally."
Math, science and history are the favorite subjects of junior Logan Dulmus, son of Marlena Hemenway of Ripley. Logan enjoys fitness and lifts weights at least three times a week. After high school Logan's current plan is to attend college and major in software engineering. He admires Albert Einstein for the way Einstein used his intelligence. To be another person for a day, Logan would like to be Bill Gates, "just to see what it is like to have all of that money available to do anything I wanted with it."

Abby competes on the CLCS soccer and softball teams, is a member of Ski Club, and participates in Student Administration as the vice president of the sophomore class. Outside of school, Abby plays travel softball in Olean and indoor soccer at the Lakewood YMCA. After high school, Abby would like to attend Colorado University and become an engineer. If she could be another person for a day, she would choose Martin Luther King, Jr., because "he stood up for what he believed in and made a difference." If she could be another person for a day, Abby chose "Alex Morgan, because she is amazing at soccer and a great role model."
Deric Allen Tebalt is the son of Jennifer Tebalt of Ripley. Deric is a freshman who enjoys history and math. When he is not in school, he enjoys metal working. Future plans for Deric include "whatever the world throws my way."
