Parkinson's support group at Westfield Memorial Hospital
Westfield Memorial Hospital's Parkinson's Disease Support Group Meeting is held the first Thursday of every month from 6:30 to 7:30 p.m.
Mayville Senior Citizens
The Mayville Senior Citizens Club meet on the first and third Thursdays of the month at the Mayville VFW at noon. All area seniors 55 or older are welcome. Bring a dish to pass and personal table service.

Westfield first Friday
The Westfield-Barcelona Chamber of Commerce is sponsoring
"First Friday," on Friday, August 2, from 5:00-8:00 p.m.,
which will be held on Route 20, in front of the Main Street shops.
Many businesses will be open late. There will be shopping, food, music, art, and
vendors set up along the sidewalk. Come and enjoy First Friday
with family and friends, and see what Westfield has to offer.
Saturday, Aug. 3
Chautauqua Fund run, walk
There will be a 2.75 mile run/walk at the Chautauqua Institution on Saturday, Aug. 3 at 9 a.m. The $25 donation includes a T-shirt and age group awards. Proceeds will benefit the Chautauqua Fund. Annual book auction
Ripley Free Library will host our Annual Book Sale on August 3-17. Doors will open at 9 a.m. on Aug 3. There are thousands of books to choose from including adult fiction, nonfiction, children's books and VHS tapes. Hardbound books will be priced at $1, paperbacks and VHS tapes priced at 25 cents apiece.
A Chicken BBQ will follow on Sunday, August 18th. This is a Presale Ticket Only event! Tickets are on sale now at the library for $8.50 per person. Mark your calendars now!
Monday, Aug. 5
Enjoy tennis every Monday night from 6:30 to 8 p.m., weather permitting. Meet at the courts behind Westfield Academy and Central School to play tennis. The plan is to have enough people to organize several double matches.
Tuesday, Aug. 6
Westfield Wellness Walkers
Join the Westfield Family Physicians' Westfield Wellness Walkers for a themed walk around town. Weekly Tuesday evening walks with a theme will start at 6:30 p.m. from June 11 through Aug. 13 with rain date of Aug 20. Meet at WFP parking lot, 138 E. Main St. Walks will be 1.5 to 3 miles and are open to all ages and abilities. All participants will be entered into a weekly drawing. Each week will focus on a healthy theme with a take away tip.
Mayville T.O.P.S meeting
Mayville T.O.P.S NY 1337 meets every Tuesday at the Mayville United Methodist Church on South Erie St. Weigh in starts at 5 p.m., with program starting at 5:30 p.m. Join in to Take Off Pounds Sensibly with a great support group, fun contests and awards. Any questions, call 753-3419 or 386-6075.

Desserts during Concerts in the Park
St. Peter's Episcopal Church will be selling delicious desserts for $3 each during the Concerts in the Park on Wednesday evenings from July 10 through July 31 at the park entrance of the church. There will also be a small variety of drinks. Bring a lawn chair, listen to the music, see neighbors and enjoy a yummy desert.
Summer Bible Study
Calling all kids ages 4-11. Lakeshore Assembly of God Church, located at 252 E. Main St, in Westfield, will be holding "Adventure Land, the Valley of Choices," a Western-themed program from July 24th until the end of summer, meeting every Wednesday evening, from 6:30-7:45 p.m. This outdoor outreach program will include Bible teachings about good choices, using Western character puppets, skits and music, along with contests, prizes and refreshments. Ripley United Methodist Church pig roast
The Ripley United Methodist Church will hold a pig roast on Aug. 17th, 2013. The menu includes: Roast Pork, Parsley Potatoes, Baked Beans, Applesauce, Bread and Butter and Homemade Pie/Cake. Dinner will be served starting at 4:00 p.m. in the Fellowship Hall at the church, 84 West Main St. Ripley, New York. Presale tickets are available from church members and are guaranteed service until 5:30 p.m. Cost is $9.00 for adults, $5.00 for children 3-10 years and under 3 is free. Take outs are available.

The Hartfield Fire Company will be holding monthly barbecues this summer. The barbecues are being held on the third Sunday of the month, July 21 and Aug. 18, at the Hartfield Volunteer Fire Hall, Hartfield, off Route 430 two miles east of Mayville from noon until food is sold out.

ERA?Team golf tournament
ERA Team VP Real Estate will host their 4th Annual Agents of Hope Golf Tournament on Wednesday, Aug. 28 at the Chautauqua Golf Club. All proceeds raised during this scramble-style tournament will benefit both the ALS Association and the ALS Division of the Muscular Dystrophy Association.
