WESTFIELD - The Westfield Memorial Hospital Foundation's 21st annual golf tournament, scheduled to be held Friday, July 12 at the Chautauqua Golf Club, will mark the foundation's 35th anniversary.
As the major source of fundraising for the hospital, the foundation's mission is to provide financial support for the delivery of high quality healthcare to the residents of the Chautauqua region. The golf tournament is a major contributor to its annual philanthropic campaigns. Proceeds will be used to purchase state-of-the-art medical equipment for the Emergency Department.
In addition to each tournament winner, who will receive a $150 gift certificate to Chautauqua Golf Club Pro Shop, there will be prizes for the longest drive for men and women and straightest drive, as well as a betting hole winner. Raffle tickets will be available to the public for a drawing to be held the day of the tournament. Items include a LG 47" 3D LED ultra-slim HD TV, two box seats to the Oct. 13 Buffalo Bills versus Cincinnati Bengals game, an Apple iPad 16 Gig, a Kindle Fire HD, a child's pedal car, Wicker Style Patio Pub Set, a day and evening at the Chautauqua Institution and many more.
Tournament sponsorship opportunities are available to promote area businesses which also will help to sustain one of the region's greatest assets, the hospital.
The fun day will be topped off with a cocktail reception and a scrumptious dinner prepared by Andiraccio's Restaurant. Family and friends of the golfers also are invited to the dinner for an extra cost per person.
