CCHS to serve as a ‘Big Read’ location

JAMESTOWN - The Chautauqua County Humane Society will serve as a host site for the "Big Read" event at the Strunk Road Adoption Center on Saturday, Feb. 23 from 12:30 to 2:30 p.m.

Community members are invited to attend at no charge to participate in a book discussion about author Jack London's "Call of the Wild." Four seniors from SUNY Fredonia's English program will facilitate, and CCHS will have staff and a canine participant on hand to add to the atmosphere.

The Chautauqua County Humane Society is a non-profit that is not part of any government organization, and its mission to care for homeless pets relies completely on public support. For more information, call 665-2209 ext 213, stop by the Strunk Road Adoption Center or visit www.spcapets.com.
