WESTFIELD - A 12-year-old Westfield youth was charged with third-degree assault on Tuesday, Nov. 6.
According to the police office, it started an investigation into an alleged fight at Westfield Academy and Central School between two students around 10:30 a.m. Upon completion of the investigation, a 12-year-old Westfield youth was arrested and charged after it was determined they had allegedly punched another 12-year-old Westfield youth in the nose, causing that youth to seek medical attention for a possible fractured nose. The first youth was issued a Family Court appearance ticket and will appear in Family Court on a later date to answer the charge.
WESTFIELD - Bryan G. Precop, 26, of Farmers Ave., Ajax, Ontario was charged with driving while intoxicated, failure to keep right and failure to maintain lane on Sunday, Nov. 11.
According to the police office, a patrolman on S. Portage St., in the Village of Westfield allegedly observed a vehicle cross the centerline and the white fog line of the roadway multiple times around 2:15 a.m. Upon further investigation, the vehicle was allegedly found to be operated by Precop, and he was allegedly intoxicated. Precop was charged, arraigned in the Westfield Village Court and bail was set at $1,500 cash.
WESTFIELD - Andrew R. Carlson, 25, of Lamarck Dr., Cheektowaga was charged with speed in zone and unlawful possession of marijuana on Sunday, Nov. 11.
According to the police office, a vehicle was stopped on Chestnut St., in the Village of Westfield for an alleged speed violation around 6:30 a.m. The operator of the vehicle was allegedly identified as Carlson, who was allegedly found to be in possession of a small quantity of marijuana. Carlson was issued an appearance ticket and a uniform traffic ticket. He will appear in Westfield Village Court on a later date to answer the charges.
