NORTH HARMONY - The North Harmony Senior Citizens met Monday, Oct. 15 for the regular monthly meeting and annual Swiss steak dinner with 60 members and guests present.
Chefs were Paula and Norm Czubaj, Sally Carlson and Paul and Juanita Holthouse. Joyce Warner provided the birthday cake honoring Sonny Warner, Ruth Franklin, Myrtle Skiba, Doug Ireland, Pat Saulsgiver, Louise Ortman, Will Ortman and Everett King. October anniversaries were Charlie and Dorothy Krause, Doug and Bonnie Johnson, Linc and Jo Fisher and Bill and Marcia de la Cerda.
Guests were Penny and Ray Rossey and Terry Kindberg. The director of the Children's Safety Village, Kindberg gave a picture presentation of the village.
Prayer was given by Gordy Saulsgiver, and President Steve Saulsgiver led the flag salute. After roll call, Secretary Joyce Warner and Treasurer Anita Ferry gave their reports, which were approved. Trip Chairman Steve Saulsgiver reported on the Tuesday, Dec. 11 trip scheduled for the Cleveland area. Reports were given by various committee chairmen.
Cards were signed for ill members. There was an Election Day dinner fundraiser at the club house. Drawing winners were Everett King and Joan Peacock.
The annual roast pork dinner will be featured at the Monday, Nov. 19 meeting. Cooks and hosts will be the Ferrys, the McNeils, Bonnie Johnson, Everett Bensink and Rita Lescynski. The cake will be provided by Marty LaFredo.
Gordy Saulsgiver closed the meeting with prayer.
