BUFFALO, NY - The Assistive Technology Expo will be held on Oct. 4 at Lucarelli's Banquet Center, 1830 Abbott Road, Lackawanna, from 8:30 a.m. to 3 p.m. This expo is being sponsored by Parent Network of WNY, Early Childhood Direction Center and People Inc.
The AT Expo is for assistive technology users, their families, educators, clinicians, agency providers and administrators. The Expo costs $35 and includes a buffet lunch.
The AT Expo will feature keynote speaker, Jonathan Campbell, Assistive Technology Specialist with the PACER Simon Technology Center in Minnesota.
The expo will have a vendor fair consisting of local and national AT vendors. Two panels of experts will talk about what technology is out there and how to incorporate it across all settings to enhance quality of life of individuals who use AT.
A limited number of scholarships are available for AT users and their families, funded by the New York State Developmental Disabilities Planning Council.
