Better infrastructure for Barcelona a priority

WESTFIELD – When David Spann was running for a seat on the Town of Westfield Board, he heard many comments and ideas about how to improve the municipality.

On the top of most people’s lists, were improvements to the infrastructure in Barcelon.

WESTFIELD – Even though it isn’t necessarily the season to be spending time at Barcelona, the lakeside hamlet is still much on the minds of Town of Westfield officials.

At a recent Town of Westfield meeting, board members discussed making possible enhancements to various aspects of Barcelona, including infrastructure and the pie.

New Westfield YWCA executive director appointed

WESTFIELD – After her first interview, Katie Smith knew she had found the job she wanted.

And now she has it as the new executive director of the Westfield YWCA.

“I left my first interview thinking the potential is just there, could I come tomorrow and start,” Mrs. Smith said. “I want to get things movin.
