ERIE Pa. - With the help of local volunteer storytellers and photo and video curators from Mayville and Westfield, WQLN TV prepares for the June 29 premiere of its original documentary 'Our Town: Stories from Mayville & Westfield', a video scrapbook of the people, places, and happenings of Westfield -an iconic small New York town - and Mayville -the charming seat of Chautauqua County.

Following a private screening for Mayville and Westfield volunteer producers in late June, the program will air on WQLN-TV 54.1 on Thursday, June 29 at 8 p.m., with live streaming at

'Our Town: Stories from Mayville & Westfield' combines first-hand accounts with photos and video contributed by residents, who tell 20 stories in on-camera interviews. Story topics were entirely the participants' choice and include the many evolutions of the historic Chautauqua Amphitheater; all-seasons recreation, including the Big Fish Triathlon and Rail Trails of the Chautauqua-Lake Erie region; the historic ship the Sea Lion; Westfield's Patterson Library; Chautauqua County Weavers' Guild; what many say is an unmatched sense of community; and many more.

'Our Town: Stories from Mayville & Westfield' is the 11th installment in WQLN's Our Town series. Towns previously featured are Meadville, Oil City, Corry, North East, and Edinboro, Titusville, and Waterford, Pennsylvania; Conneaut, Ohio; and London, Ontario, Canada, all of which were also included in a 'Best of Our Town' compilation released in early 2017.
