Adult Day participant remembered following move

April 5, 2017
Westfield Republican

At Chautauqua Adult Day participants became not only friends but also family. Recently one of participant who has been with Chautauqua Adult Day for over 5 years moved and we feel a huge void with her not being with us. Mary Cogliano is 88 years old and was a very active participant at Chautauqua Adult Day. She participated in the OFA dining program and also the YWCA Senior Exercise class. Mary was very close with everyone at Westfield Adult Day; both staff and peers. It always was a joy to watch her during intergenerational activities as the past teacher in her came out. Mary always had a smile on her face and it is one we will never forget. Good Luck and we miss you Mary! As the girl scout's motto says "Make new friends but keep the old, one is silver the other gold."
