RIPLEY - Another "sensational" show at Sensory Winery and Art Gallery opens with a reception of the "Anything Goes" show on Friday, Aug. 21 from 7-9 p.m. North Shore Arts Alliance and the North East Artists join artistic forces to fill the Sensory Gallery located in Ripley on Rt. 20.

Surrounded by vineyards plumping up their grapes, the fruit of the vine is found inside with the "fruit" of creative minds. Nearly twenty artists from both sides of the state's border combine for a blend of colors, media, views, styles and more to complement and contrast each other. A visual art "tasting" is in the offering! Don't miss that opportunity for wine tasting, refreshments and meeting the artists who created the work.

All the artists are seasoned and talented with many awards among them. Seeing the variety of regional artists will delight you. The "Anything Goes" theme allows the artists to show the variety of their work and enthusiasm.

Pictured are some images from the more than 80 pieces of artwork created by the North Shore Arts Alliance and North East Artists on display at the Sensory Wine and Art Gallery in Ripley. The images shown are by William Karrow, photographer, Mary Ann Jankowski, watercolorist, and Susan Forrester-Mackay, figurative oil painter. The exhibit runs through Sept. 27.

The show continues a collaboration between Sensory owner Kevin Daughrity, new manager, "Fergie" Lutes, the North Shore Arts Alliance and the North East Artist. The collaboration is based on a mutual passion for art and an enthusiasm for regional artists. The gallery uses original artworks for their wine labels. The Sensory Winery and Art Gallery space lends itself remarkably well to a variety of different media and leads the viewer in and around the works.

The gallery is located approximately two miles outside of downtown Ripley heading toward the Pennsylvania border at 10593 W. Main Road (Rt. 20). Regular gallery hours are Thursday-Monday from 11 a.m. to 6 p.m. For more information, please visit
