Carol R. Wilson, 73 of Findley Lake, New York, passed away Friday July 25, 2014 at her home.
She was born March 16, 1941, in Cleveland, Ohio, the daughter of the late Richard H. and Marjorie Whelsky Giblin.
Carol graduated from Lakewood High School, Lakewood, Ohio in 1959. She got married the same year in Clymer, New York. Carol worked in retail in Ohio, before moving to Tucson, Arizona, in 1977, then she worked as a book keeper at a landscaping and nursery business, after retiring in the mid 1990's, she and her husband moved backed to Findley Lake, NY her husband's childhood home. She had worked as assistant town Clerk for the Town of Mina, then worked at the Alexander Findley Community Library as an assistant libriarian, until she decided to retire to enjoy spending time with her friends and family. She loved nature and her house in the woods, her dogs, her music and her family.

She is survived by 4 daughters, Susan (Ronald) McKamy, of St. Paris, OH, Karin Jackson, Bemus Point, NY, Judi Wilson Jackson, Vineland, NJ, and Stephanie Wilson, of Corry, PA.; 13 grandchildren and their families and 9 great grandchildren. Her sister Laura Weinstein of Tucson, AZ; twin brothers, Richard and William Giblin of the Lancaster, PA area.
Besides her parents she was preceded in death by her husband, Clyde A. Wilson, December 24, 2003.
A memorial service will be held Saturday August, 2, 2014 at 2:00 pm at the Spitzer Funeral Home, 135 Miller St. Sherman, NY. Friend will be received for 1 hour prior to the service.
