Chautauqua County Roller Derby presents Christmas in July

Chautauqua County Roller Derby's Slay Belles: Christmas in July with the Babes of Wrath is just around the corner! The Babes of Wrath will face the Queen City Roller Girls' B-Lo Zeros on Saturday, July 26th. Doors open at 6:30pm, the action starts with the first whistle at 7:30pm. This is the third home bout of the Babes' 2014 season, taking place at Allen Park Ice Rink on Elizabeth Ave. in Jamestown. The Babes of Wrath represent Chautauqua and Warren counties in one of the fastest growing sports in the country, and over 1200 women's flat track roller derby leagues worldwide. All Babes of Wrath bouts raise money for charity, and proceeds from this bout will benefit Lakers Sled Hockey, an innovative program for handicapped athletes. Tickets are $8 presale, $10 at the door, children under 12 are free.

Chautauqua County Roller Derby is an all-volunteer organization. Area residents with an interest in joining the team, becoming a referee, or helping at events are encouraged to talk to a league member to find out more.
