Art Mobile at Patterson Library

The Patterson Library Art Gallery Curator Nancy N. Ensign has installed with the artist Ange Cash Bentivegna a mobile sculpture "La Vite Dela Vita". The "Vine of Life" mobile sculpture is a conception of our shared heritage. Rich with meaning and symbolism, this piece was created to express the uniqueness of our region. The southeastern shores of Lake Erie in western New York and northwestern Pennsylvania is home to the oldest and largest Concord grape-growing region in the world Grapes are a source of life and symbolize connectivity, family bonds, abundance, and my piece not only ties in the culture of the region but is also symbolic of a greater meaning. It is spiritual yet has a universal language. Art that is vibrant, translucent, kinetic and creates a paradigm in traditional art. May you find your own individual meaning in it and just enjoy it for its own beauty."Creating Art has been an essential force of self expression in my life. I Create Art that reflects light, the spirit and the movement of Life." Ange Cash Bentivegna is a professional artist from York, Pa. and a native of Westfield. She is a graduate of the Art Insitute of Pittsburgh, Carnegie Mellon University with her MFA from Syracuse University. Her artwork resides in restaurants, health care facilities, corporate businesses, and private homes. My new gallery, ART GALLERY AT THE VINEYARD, is located at WOODBURY VINEYARDS and is a perfect pairing of art and wine. Together we are shaping a creative niche. Not only can you come together to enjoy fine art and wine, you can become a participant by creating your own art."You are invited to join in on the creative process and discover the artist within you."www.ArtGalleryAtTheVineyard.com, www.ArtandDesignbyAnge.com

The mobile sculpture will be on exhibit throughout the summer in the Patterson Library's reference room.
