Westfield Recreation Department’s Summer Drama Classes to perform at Cross Roads

July 24, 2014
Westfield Republican / Mayville Sentinel News

On Saturday, July 26, children from the Westfield Recreation Department's Summer Drama Classes will be performing at Cross Roads Farm & Craft Market from 11 a.m. until 1 p.m. Children ages 6 and up will be reciting monologues and performing a play written by their director, Karin Cockram. Mrs. Cockram's Drama Classes give children an introduction to the arts, from puppets and mask-making to games that help them learn staging to actual performing. Come support the arts, applaud their efforts, and hear how these kids spend their summer vacation. "Cross Roads loves to support community programs, from non-profit organizations to the arts. We are so pleased to have the children from the Rec Department show off their talents here at the market," said Wendy Graham, the vendor who helped organize the performance at Cross Roads. "And it doesn't hurt that my own 6- and 9-year-olds will be here that day performing. I'm pretty excited about that!"
