Signups will be in Eason Hall from 6-8 p.m. Registration fee will be $25 and checks can be made out to Westfield Babe Ruth. Age limits are 12-16 and are based on the age the player was on Dec. 31, 2013. For more info call Ed LeBarron at 365-9415.

All You Can Eat Breakfast Buffet, First Presbyterian Church, Fellowship Hall at 49 South Portage St., Westfield. 10 a.m. to noon (Saturday, July 12 - Ox Roast weekend) $12 per adult; $5 kids 6 and under. Community Breakfast

The Ripley United Methodist Church is holding an 'All-You-Can-Eat' Community Breakfast from 8 a.m. until 11 a.m. in the fellowship hall of the church. The breakfast features eggs made to order (including a variety of omelets), toast, bacon, sausage, biscuits and gravy, fried potatoes, french toast, pancakes, O.J. and coffee. The church is located at 84 West Main, Ripley and the cost per person is $6 for all you can eat. This breakfast will benefit the Ripley Hose Auxillary.

Brocton Central School Silent Auction

Brocton Central School is holding a silent auction of excessed school materials and equipment. The event will be held Saturday, June 14 at 10:30 a.m. until 12:00 sharp in the school bus garage and pole barn. This is a cash and carry event -no credit cards accepted. There will be no prior day previews. A list of items will be on the school's web site (www.broctoncsd.org) on June 6.

Chicken BBQ and Fashion Show

Westfield Stray Cat Rescue Chicken BBQ and Fashion Show, 11 a.m., Westfield Farmers Market, Moore Park. The chicken BBQ includes chicken, beans, macaroni salad, roll, and cupcake. Cost is $9. The fashion show features clothing from The Thrifty Kitty, WSCR's thrift shop. Cats will also be available for adoption. Proceeds benefit Westfield Stray Cat Rescue. The Town of Portland's Ahira Hall Memorial Library located in Brocton hosts a writer's group. Any and all are invited to join.
