A $10,000 grant from the M&T Charitable Foundation to the Westfield Memorial Hospital Foundation has made it possible to upgrade technology hardware for the hospital.
Andy D. Cohn, vice president of the Buffalo Healthcare Services Group, recently visited the hospital to view the many new computers installed, some in the emergency room.
"Our decision to invest in the acquisition of computers.is our way of investing in Westfield Memorial Hospital and the future of healthcare for everyone in (the) community," Cohn said.

As the major source of fund-raising for Westfield Memorial Hospital, the foundation has worked with the hospital to provide financial support for the delivery of high quality health care by purchasing state-of-the-art equipment for more than 35 years.
"We are grateful to M&T Charitable Foundation," said Patricia Gaughan-DiPalma, foundation director of development. "M&T's gift will help ensure that Westfield Memorial is able to provide a hospital where the quality of patient information is higher, mistakes are fewer and costs are lower for the thousands of individuals who utilize our community hospital each year."
