The Wolverines added an insurance run in the sixth for the victory.

Dahl was the only batter to record two hits. Nolan Hunt tripled for the winners.

Hunt was the winning pitcher as he threw a complete-game, three-hitter with 10 strikeouts and two walks. Braydyn was the losing pitcher, as he went seven strong innings with six hits, four strikeouts and two walks.

Westfield slips past Brocton, 3-1

BROCTON, May 1 - The Brocton Bulldogs (4-6, 2-4) made two mistakes more than Westfield (10-4, 7-0) and it ended up costing them a 3-1 decision to the Wolverines on Thursday in CCAA West II high school baseball.

"We played them very tough the first time and that was our first game," Brocton coach Terry Presto said. "That was 3-0. What's nice is Steve Krystofiak pitched well enough to win. I was really impressed and it was a positive sign to see we have another hurler to go along with Ryan Johnson."

Krystofiak pitched all seven innings and scattered nine hits while striking out 12 and walking four.
