The Westfield Memorial Hospital Auxiliary Board is busy preparing for their 15th Annual "Celebrating Spring" event. If you are a regular attendee at this function, please note the change of venue. This year's "Celebrating Spring" will be held on May 10 at Shorewood Country Club, 4958 West Lake Road in Dunkirk. This lovely facility is located on the banks of Lake Erie and offers a panoramic view of the lake. We think it is the perfect spot to "Celebrate Spring." We hope you will join us this year and be treated to coffee and a sweet while visiting our purveyors of fine merchandise, partake of a delicious buffet lunch, enjoy musical entertainment and have the chance to win our fabulous Grand Prize - One year's unlimited use of the Fitness Room courtesy of the Westfield YWCA ($300 value).
Tickets are $25 all inclusive and can be purchased at Four Seasons (326-4293), Mathews Jewelers (326-4293), or call Marilyn Hemmer for information and tickets at 326-3504 or 753-6043. Gentlemen as well as ladies are encouraged to attend. You will find the lunch buffet fantastic! What a great Mother's Day gift for your mother or wife. Your ticket also enters you in the Grand Prize drawing and two free tickets for the Chinese Auction.
If you are interested in some fun shopping before lunch, vendors open for business at 9 a.m. and are there until the event closes. This year's vendors include Tastefully Simple, Parklane Jewelry, Lucy's Vintage Treasures, Crooked House Candies, Ol' Glory Candles, Happy Bee Products, Touch of Glass, Trellies Boutique, Westview Images, and Surroundings of Westfield. Also the Hospital Auxiliary will debut "Eason Hall" - the 8th in a series of ornaments, magnets and thimbles. The Lottery Tree will be available if you're feeling lucky. And again there will be a Chinese Auction with items donated by vendors and Auxiliary Board members. Every patron receives two free tickets for the auction. Additional tickets may be purchased for $1 each, 5 tickets for $3, or 10 tickets for $5.
The Luncheon Buffet begins at noon and will remain open until all are served. The sumptuous menu includes green salad with balsamic dressing, warm pasta dish, eye of round, cajun turkey breast, warm roll and butter, green beans almondine, garlic roasted herb potatoes, dessert and assorted beverages.
Following lunch you will be entertained by the WACS Westwinds under the direction of Grammy Award winning music teacher Kent Knappenburger. We assure you it will be a truly delightful experience. Prizes will be awarded at the end of the program.
The Auxiliary Board hopes everyone will join us for a day of fun and fellowship. We are grateful to those who have supported us through the years. Be reminded that, as always, all proceeds benefit Westfield Memorial Hospital.
