Reservations are being accepted for the annual Westfield Senior Citizen's Day Dinner

Thursday, April 24 has been chosen for the annual Westfield Senior Citizen's Day Dinner sponsored by the Westfield Recreation Department. This event will be held at the United Methodist Church on Main Street. Serving will begin at 6 p.m. On the menu: Chicken & Biscuits. Entertainment will be provided by the Mountain Railroad Band. A nominal donation of $7 per person is asked at the door to help defray the cost. Reservations are requested. For more information or to make a reservation, telephone 326-4243. Several community groups contribute to the operation of this annual event.

One day bus trip to the WWII D-Day Reenactment at Conneaut, Ohio on Saturday, August 23

The Westfield Recreation Department is organizing a one day bus trip to the WWII D-Day Reenactment at Conneaut, Ohio on Saturday, August 23. Join us for the largest D-Day Conneaut ever with nearly over 800 participants from all over the US and Canada. It has become one of the largest WWII reenactments in the country. We will stop on the way home for dinner. Cost is $26 per person with meals on your own. For more information or to make your reservation, telephone the Westfield Recreation Department at 326-4243.

Three day bus trip to Lancaster, Pa. and Gettysburg May 12 through May 14

We are taking sign-ups, with installments accepted, for a three day trip to Lancaster, Pa. to see "Moses" at the Millennium Theatre in Lancaster, Pa., tour some Amish sites and visit the museum and battlefields at Gettysburg. The cost is $339 per person, based on double occupancy and includes four meals.

Summer Employment at the

Welch Field

Individuals interested in applying for summer jobs at the Recreation Program or the Welch Field Pool can file an application at the Village Hall window. For pool applications, a Life Guarding Certification is required. Call our office for more information at 326-4243.

Attention: Walkers

Walkers are welcome to use the Eason Hall Auditorium when it is available.

Help with yard work and odd jobs

Westfield residents needing help with yard work and odd jobs are asked to call the Westfield Recreation Department at 326-4243 and we will assist in arranging for a local teen to help.
