Parkinson's support group at Westfield Memorial Hospital

Westfield Memorial Hospital's Parkinson's Disease Support Group Meeting is held the first Thursday of every month from 6:30 to 7:30 p.m.

Beginner's Quilting Class at the Ripley Free Library

Join the Beginner's Quilting Class at the Ripley Free Library. The class meets every Thursday afternoon at 1 p.m. If you've always wanted to learn how to quilt but thought it was too complicated, now is your chance to mark it off your bucket list. For more information call 736-3913.

Turkey dinner

The Westfield-Ripley Kiwanis will be hosting a turkey dinner with all the fixings on Thursday, March 6 from 4-7 p.m. at St. Dominic's RC Church in Westfield. The price is $8 for adults and $5 for children ages 4-11. Children under 4 are free. Proceeds to support Autism research. Please help this worthy cause.

Community breakfast

The Ripley United Methodist Church is holding an 'all-you-can-eat' Community Breakfast on Saturday,

March 8 from 8 a.m. until 11 a.m. The breakfast features eggs made to order (including a variety of omelets) bacon, sausage, biscuits and gravy, pancakes, toast, O.J. and coffee. The church is located at 84 West Main, Ripley and the cost per person is $6 for all you can eat. This breakfast will benefit the Outreach Ministries.

American Red Cross Blood Drive

The American Red Cross will hold a Blood Drive at the Eason Hall Auditorium, 23 Elm Street in Westfield from 11:30 a.m. to 4:30 p.m.

Community tennis

Enjoy tennis every Monday night from 6:30 to 8 p.m., weather permitting. Meet at the courts behind Westfield Academy and Central School to play tennis. The plan is to have enough people to organize several double matches.

Mayville T.O.P.S. meeting

Mayville T.O.P.S. NY 1337 meets every Tuesday at the Mayville United Methodist Church on South Erie St. Weigh in starts at 5 p.m., with program starting at 5:30 p.m. Join in to Take Off Pounds Sensibly with a great support group, fun contests and awards. Any questions, call 753-3419 or 386-6075.

Westfield T.O.P.S. meeting

Soup Dinner

The First Presbyterian Church in Westfield will be hosting a soup dinner to benefit Westfield Memorial Hospital on Wednesday, March 12 from 5-7 p.m. The cost is $7 for adults and $20 for a family. Please call 326-3504 for more information.

The Ripley United Methodist Church is holding a Community Lenten Service at Meeder's Restaurant every Wednesday evening at 6:30 p.m. throughout this Lenten season.We will have a light supper of choice of soups, bread and a beverage with a Lenten Service to follow. Travel with us for a spring outing to the Maple Tree Inn near Short Tract, NY for pancakes and maple syrup (sugar free available), the Cuba Cheese house and the Cutco Knife Visitors Center in Olean, NY. We will be leaving at 9 a.m. from the Eason Hall and returning at approx. 5 p.m. Please telephone the Westfield Recreation Dept. at 326-4243 for more information or to make your reservations.

First Presbyterian Church of Westfield is hosting a new Lent series every Friday at 7 p.m. throughout the season of Lent. The series titled, "Preachers From the Pews" features a different speaker from our congregation each week who will lead us in a short informal service. The theme for this Lenten series is love. This week the series will feature Marie Edwards as she delivers a message about Covenantal Love. Please join us as we continue on our Lenten journey together experiencing God's radical love. Centaur Stride Annual Walk-a-thon Fundraiser

Registration is appreciated for this event held at Chautauqua Mall. Walk from 2-3 p.m. to benefit programs at Centaur Stride Therapeutic Horseback Riding Facility in Westfield. Towel BINGO

Time once again to play St. Patty's Day Towel BINGO! The event takes place Sunday, March 16 from 1 p.m. to 4 p.m. at John W. Dill American Legion Post 434 Route 20 in Brocton. There will be prizes, Chinese Auction, 50-50 and refreshments. A small admission fee will be charged. Towel BINGO is sponsored by Preceptor Beta Epsilon Sorority.

Used Book Sale

A Used Book and Puzzle Sale is taking place at the McCord Memorial Library, 32 W. Main St. in North East, PA from March 17-22. Hours are Monday - Thursday, 10 a.m. to 8 p.m. and Friday - Saturday, 10 a.m. to 5 p.m. Gently used books and puzzles, mixed media and more are available for $1. Continuing its mission to keep Westfield healthy, the Westfield Memorial Hospital Auxiliary Board is holding free Blood Pressure Screenings on Tuesday, March 18. The first takes place at 11 a.m. at the Episcopal Church in Westfield. The second is at the YWCA beginning at 12 p.m. For more information, contact Marilynne Northrop at 326-4429.
