On Feb. 16 in the Village of Westfield, Jason H. Wolfe, 35, was arrested by village police.
Officers said fireworks had been set off in the area of Spring Street and Jackson Street. Wolfe was found hiding behind a tree. After an investigation of Wolfe's suspicious activity, he was allegedly found to be in possession of a small straw which contained cocaine, a controlled substance.
He was charged with seventh-degree criminal possession of a controlled substance and will appear in the Village of Westfield court at a later date.
On Feb. 19, Chandler T. Smith, 23, was charged with disorderly conduct and violating the Westfield local law noise from a person.
Smith allegedly yelled obscene language at the police in an East Main Street parking lot and refused to leave the scene after multiple warnings.
He will appear in the Village of Westfield court to answer the charges.
On Feb. 23, Laralyn C. Whitesell, 32, was stopped on East Main Street in the Village of Westfield and charged with operating a vehicle while the registration was suspended for an insurance lapse. The charge is an unclassified misdemeanor.
Whitesell will appear in the Village of Westfield Court at a later date and time. to answer the charge.
