Westfield Republican / Mayville Sentinel News

FINDLEY LAKE - The Pink Panthers of Findley Lake have planned a Vintage Snowmobile Poker Run and show on Feb. 22. This special event will start at Pine Junction, just a short couple of miles outside Findley Lake (9757 Bailey Hill Road).

Ride registration is from 9 to 10 a.m. and the Poker Run will be from 10 a.m. to 1 p.m. Donation for Poker Run is $10.

The Vintage Snowmobile show registration will be noon to 1 p.m. with the show starting at 1 p.m. There will be five stops to the Poker Run. Hands called promptly at 5 p.m. You will get maps at registration.

The Pink Panthers have decided this year that the donations will provide financial assistance to Findley Lake local Lucas Gibbons, diagnosed in May 2013 with retinoblastoma cancer. Retinoblastoma is a quickly developing cancer that develops from the immature cells of a retina, the light-detecting tissue of the eye, and is the most widespread malignant tumor of the eye in children.

Lucas is a 4-year-old patient being treated at the Buffalo Children's Hospital. The Pink Panthers also provide support for the Pink Ribbon Riders.
