The 2014 Winter Festival Treasure Hunt Medallion has been found! Congratulations go out to Tom Cole of Mayville, who found the medallion in Westfield. The medallion was hidden in Lincoln's hat at the Lincoln and Bedell statues. The Mayville/Chautauqua Chamber of Commerce would like to thank Taylor Lehman and her grandmother, Janet Henderson of Busti, for again writing some great clues for this year's event. They also wrote last year's clues. The remaining clues that Taylor and her grandmother worked so hard on: Clue 9: "Do you think Mr. K knew about Grace Bedell, And took her advice because all went well, His award was great and beyond reproach, Could memories of Grace have served as his coach?"; and Clue 10: "The statues in Westfield is where you will find, The prize that for days has been on your mind, The medallion and the money is all that, When you look inside the president's hat." Tom was presented as the winner at 1:30 p.m. on Saturday, Feb. 15 in the Community Center at the Chamber Table.
