Fred Anthony Arcoraci, 83 years of age, passed away on January 30, 2014, at Select Specialty Hospital in Erie, Pa.
Fred was born on November 18, 1930 to the late Ferdinando and Lucy Arcoraci. He graduated from Albany State University, where he received his Educational Certification and taught at Glens Falls High School in Upstate New York and Iroquois School from 1958 to 1968.
Fred was also an American veteran, serving in the United States Military from 1952 to 1953. He was also a member of Holy Trinity Church in Dunkirk, N.Y.
He was a loving son who took care of his mother for 15 years. Fred never married.
Fred is survived by his brother Philip (Sandy) Ar-coraci, and sisters Concetta "Connie" (Albert) Kuehn and Geraldine "Gerry" Gugino, as well as several nieces and nephews.
Besides his parents, Fred was preceded in death by his brother Carmelo "Mello" Arcoraci, his brother-in-law Peter Gugino, his half brothers and a half sister.
A Mass of Christian burial was celebrated on Tuesday, February 4, 2014 at Holy Trinity Church in Dunkirk, N.Y., at 10 a.m. Relatives and friends were invited to attend the Funeral Mass and called the Fantauzzi Funeral Home, 82 E. Main St., Fredonia, N.Y. February 3, 2014, from 4 to 7 p.m.
Interment was in St. Joseph Cemetery in Sheridan, N.Y.
