MAYVILLE - Westfield-Ripley-Chautauqua Lake won every match but one Wednesday night as it eased past Franklinville, 69-6 in CCAA Division II wrestling action.
The Panthers' lone loss came at 152 pounds as Charlie Furman pinned WRCL's Dylan Gross in 2:29. Other than that match, which was the second to last of the night, WRCL dominated.
At 182, Justin Gross pinned Franklinville's Bryan Jennings in 2:35 while Tyler Furlow pined Damon Vroman in 21 seconds. Alex Swan won his match at 220, 3-2, over Zachary Rathbun and at 285, D.J. Hamrick pinned Jeffrey Bushnell in 2:21.
After Garrett Fransen won by forfeit at 99 pounds, Derek Ecklund won a major decision, 12-3, over Jeff Hebdon at 106 while at 113, Bryce Rowe won his own major decision, 11-0, over Caleb Palmatier.
In the match at 120, Noah Dorman defeated Brock Blecha, 7-4; at 126 Nick Hudson defeated Matt Bacher, 11-4 and at 132 Mark Ecklund won a technical fall, 18-2, over John Kemp. Then, at 138, Roger Williams pinned Justin Oliver in 1:32.
Damian Raynor made quick work of Austin Cole at 145, winning the match in 45 seconds, before Furman gave Franklinville its only win of the night.
WRCL finished with wins by Zack Reyes - who pinned Micah Sexton in 3:35 to win the match at 160 - and Dominique Rammelt, who pinned Chris Szymanski in 22 seconds to win their match at 170.
WRCL is back in action today when it travels to square off against Frewsburg.
