PORTLAND - A Portland woman heading eastbound on Route 5 was involved in an accident around 7 a.m. Wednesday, Jan. 8.

Tara S. Snow, 31, suffered minor injuries when she swerved to avoid a vehicle in the middle of the road and rolled her car several times into a ditch.

Chautauqua County Sheriff Joseph Gerace said Snow "braked to avoid" the vehicle and "began to slide," which led to her going into the "ditch on the south side of Route 5."
