Knights sweep Thunderbirds

CUTTING, Jan. 9 - The Silver Creek Black Knights had a strong showing on Thursday in CCAA Division 2 high school bowling.

In the boys' match, Silver Creek (8-8) rolled a 923-932-981-2,836 compared to Chautauqua Lake's (0-19-1) 483-667-638-1,788 at Cutting Lanes.

The Black Knights were led by Tyler Steklasa's 195-207-205-607. Tim Manning added a 209-171-223-603 while Robert Patterson bowled a 210-227 and Carl Cotroneo bowled a 232 game.

The Thunderbirds' AJ Utegg's cracked a 179-416 and Dakota Barrows bowled a 171 game in defeat.

For the girls, Silver Creek (6-6) earned the 4-0 sweep over Chautauqua Lake (0-16).

Its linescore read 595-582-522-1,699 while Chautauqua Lake had a 454-485-456-1,395.

Silver Creek was led by Katie Dittiger's 176-143-195-512 and Andrea Olson's 190.

Heather Sullivan led Chautauqua Lake with a 153-148-157-458.
