With Thanksgiving hanging in the background, the North Harmony Senior Citizens gathered to celebrate the holiday together in meal and fellowship. President Ferry called the Nov. 18 meeting to order. There were 51 members present.
Thanks were given to the dinner hosts: Penny and Ray Rossey, Rhonda Hatfield, Elli and Mac McNeill, Everett Bensink, Bonnie Johnson and Anita and Earl Ferry. Laura Palmer presented a beautiful birthday cake. The traditional Club dinner of pork loin, mashed potatoes, stuffing, green vegetable Jell-O, dressing and other breads and croissants were served. A dessert table fit for the king and queen of North Harmony was presented for consumption.
Birthday celebrants for the month of November were Laura Palmer and Everett Bensink. Paula and Norm Czubaj's wedding anniversary was recognized.
President Ferry indicated that the recently donated piano was tuned and Louise Ortman entertained the group with a little jazz tune.
The regular meeting agenda was handled in a short time. Paul Holthouse was recognized for his honorary appointment of National Aide-De-Camp to the Commander-In Chief of the Veterans of Foreign Wars.
The Christmas dinner meeting will be held on Dec. 16 at 6 p.m. Hosts for meeting will be Loretta and Steve Saulsgiver, Case Foster and Anita and Earl Ferry. The birthday cake will be provided by Carol Bergman White.
