Beginner's Quilting Class at the Ripley Free Library

Join our Beginner's Quilting Class at the Ripley Free Library. The class meets every Thursday afternoon at 1 p.m. If you've always wanted to learn how to quilt but thought it was too complicated, now is your chance to mark it off your bucket list. For more information call 736-3913."

Mayville Senior Citizens

The Mayville Senior Citizens Club meets on the first and third Thursdays of the month at the Mayville VFW at noon. All area seniors 55 or older are welcome. Bring a dish to pass and personal table service.

Saturday, Nov. 30

A Christmas Carol

Patterson Library will be hosting a a one-person dramatization of Dicken's "A Christmas Carol." The event will take place on Nov. 30 from 2-4:30 p.m. with a half hour intermission. Anyone with questions should call 326-2154.

Santa's Craft Bonanza

The 31st Annual Gerry Fire Department Auxiliary Santa's Craft Bonanza will be held at the Gerry Rodeo Grounds Dining/Conference Hall in Gerry on Saturday, Nov. This event is free to attend. The craft tables will be open from 10 a.m. to 4 p.m. The tables are full of hand-crafted items. Santa will make his appearance from 11:30 a.m. to 1 p.m. The Barber Shoppe Quartet will be singing from 1:15 p.m. to 2:15 p.m. You are welcome to participate in the Chinese Auction. Refreshments will be available all day. The public is welcome and all proceeds will benefit the Auxiliary and Fire Department projects. Call Cherin Mehs, 716-985-4257, for more information.

Spend Saturdays-only, 9 a.m.-5 p.m. now through Dec. 21, at Cross Roads Farm and Craft Market in rural Chautauqua County between Sherman and Westfield. The Market features dozens of vendors known for their crafts, artwork, woodwork, imported gifts, specialty supplies, collectibles, foodstuffs, candy, coffee, handmade clothing, home decor and eclectic gift assortment. The Market is also open Black Friday.

Community tennis

Enjoy tennis every Monday night from 6:30 to 8 p.m., weather permitting. Meet at the courts behind Westfield Academy and Central School to play tennis. The plan is to have enough people to organize several double matches.

Mayville T.O.P.S. meeting

Mayville T.O.P.S. NY 1337 meets every Tuesday at the Mayville United Methodist Church on South Erie St. Weigh in starts at 5 p.m., with program starting at 5:30 p.m. Join in to Take Off Pounds Sensibly with a great support group, fun contests and awards. Any questions, call 753-3419 or 386-6075.

Westfield T.O.P.S. meeting

Westfield Memorial Hospital's Parkinson's Disease Support Group Meeting is held the first Thursday of every month from 6:30 to 7:30 p.m.

Holiday Gift Shop and Chinese Auction at the YWCA Westfield. Doors open at 10 a.m. and feature over 30 vendors with gift ideas, samples and give aways. Jamberry Nails, Avon, Pampered Chef, Tupperware, Webb's Candies and many, many more. A $5 admission to support the YWCA includes auction tickets.

Dewittville-Hartfield United Methodist Church hosts annual Cookie Walk

Dewittville-Hartfield United Methodist Church is hosting its annual Cookie Walk, Saturday, Dec. 14 from 9 a.m.-12 p.m. (unless sold out before noon). Walk around our huge table laden with homemade cookies and purchase your favorites at $4.25/dozen or 6 dozen for $24. Free coffee and hot cider will be served. The church is located at Route 430 and Meadows Road in Dewittville. Proceeds support the church's commitment to a missionary currently serving in Uganda.

Grinch Fest

From 1-4 pm children of all ages are invited to visit Patterson Library to share in a "Grinch Fest." Enjoy movies, crafts and snacks. Take time to get "Grinchy" and visit with famous Grinch himself. There is no cost to attend this event. If you have questions, please contact 326-2154.
