Maple Grove/Chautauqua Lake 14, Ellicotville-West Valley 6
ELLICOTTVILLE - A third-quarter touchdown proved to be the difference for Maple Grove-Chautauqua Lake on Friday night.
A.J. Hulton's 6-yard scoring run and Riley Beaton's placement in the third period gave the Thunder Dragons a 14-6 lead over Ellicottville-West Valley and it held up for a Class D football victory.

Maple Grove-Chautauqua Lake took a 7-0 lead in the second quarter when Ryan Miller raced 44 yards to paydirt and Beaton kicked the extra point.
The ThunderDragons were driving for more points in the first half as Beaton set up for a field goal on the last play of the first half, but Cam Wilson of Ellicottville-West Valley blocked the kick and raced 95 yards into the end zone for the touchdown. The two-point conversion pass failed.
Maple Grove-Chautauqua Lake had several chances to pull away, but Ellicottville-West Valley was stellar on defense, led by Wilson with 11 tackles and Dylan Paprocki with nine.
Miller finished with 95 yards on 20 carries for the winners.
Phalla Musall saw limited action for the hosts and rushed for 45 yards on 11 carries. He has been bothered by sprained ankle suffered in the Franklinville game on Sept. 27.
Clymer 14, Frewsburg 33
FREWSBURG - Kevin Rogers and Jordan Ingerson took care of all the touchdowns as Frewsburg (4-2, 4-1) defeated Clymer (1-5, 1-5), 33-14.
Rogers finished with 34 carries for 209 yards and three touchdowns while Ingerson had 11 rushes for 32 yards and two touchdowns.
Rogers' touchdowns were from 33, 15 and 11 yards while Ingerson scored from 11 and 8 yards.
Zack Haller led the Bears' defense with seven tackles and a sack, and Ingerson had five tackles. Bryce Peterson, Josh Nelson, Christian Proctor and Garrett Steel each had an interception.
Frewsburg held Clymer to only 30 yards rushing
The bulk of the Pirates' offense was from quarterback Dylan Neckers, who completed 6-of- 22 passes for 134 yards. One was a 57-yard touchdown pass to Jake Wiggers.
Matt DeStevens scored Clymer's other touchdown on a 35-yard run.
Sherman 29, Nichols 7
BUFFALO - Devin Moorhead and Andrew Graham paced Sherman to a non-league football victory Saturday afternoon.
Moorhead gained 100 yards rushing and scored twice while Graham passed for more than 150 yards and accounted for two scores as the Wildcats (4-1, 5-1) topped Nichols, 29-7.
Moorhead rushed for 134 yards on 11 attempts and tallied on runs of 47 and 2yards in the win. Meanwhile, Graham passed to Dwight Scouten for the first score from 35 yards and he also tallied on a 1-yard sneak.
Graham wound up 11-of-15 for 158 yards through the air, Ryan Robson caught a conversion pass from Graham and Chris Greiner ran in another conversion for the Wildcats.
Mike Geiger scored the only Nichols touchdown on a 28-yard scamper in the third quarter. Geiger checked out with 94 yards on nine attempts.
Defensively, middle linebacker Greiner made 14 tackles, end Kory Ayers eight tackles and linebacker Robson seven in the win.
