Five foursomes joined the competition at the North Hills Golf Club. Dick Kurek and Mel Allen were randomly selected from the field of 18 players to have their scores used by two teams so that the foursomes would be complete. The first place team with a score of 205 was Jim Sudal, Glen Eck, Phil Young and Dick Kurek. Second place went to Al Muck, Kurek, Keith Rothwell and Gary Nash at 210. Completing the money winners was the squad of Jeff Wagner, Mel Allen, Sam Arcadipane and Bob Rogers with a total of 215.
Jim Quinn, Butch Joint, Todd Swanson and Bill Ottaway, with a sum of 220, came in fourth. In the last spot were Gary Farley, John Barone, Les Yokom and Allen scoring 222.
Kurek had the low net round of 66 while Wagner shot an 82 for low gross. Yokom was nearest the pin on No. 15 and Sudal on No. 4.
Skins were awarded to Swanson, Farley and Nash.
The final outing of the season was held at the Green Meadows Course in North East, Pa. on Monday, Sept. 30. The format was be a scramble.
