The Forestville Fall Festival will be held Oct. 5 & 6 at Forestville Central High School. There will be a craft show, fresh produce, food vendors and children activities. Among the booths, there will be a historic display, antique appraisals, antique tractors, cider press demonstration, antique apple peeler and a pumpkin chucker. You can have your picture taken at a photo booth with props. Hours are 10 a.m. 5 p.m. on Saturday and 10 a.m. 4 p.m. on Sunday.
There will be a pork dinner at St. Rose of Lima Catholic Church on Saturday, Oct. 5 from 12 to 6 p.m. The Forestville Fire Dept. will host a chicken barbecue at the Fire Hall on Sunday, Oct. 6 starting at noon. Saturday at 7 p.m. there will be a meat raffle at JCarter Knapp American Legion.
New this year will be a "Chili-Cook-Off." Anyone can enter. "Name your chili," bring at least a 5 qt. crockpot to the high school at noon on Saturday. The public will participate in judging. Call Terri at 679-8384 to pre-enter.
A Jack-O-Lantern contest wil be held. Decorated pumpkins will be judged in three categories: scariest, funniest & most original. Prizes will be awarded. Bring your jack-o-lantern to the Forestville Village Mall on Friday, Oct. 4 between 4:00 and 5:30 p.m. Judging will take place at 6:00 p.m.
There will be a parade on Sunday at 1:00 p.m. Floats will be judged. There will be prizes for decorated bicycles.
The Fall Festvial is coordinating with the Adams' family for a tour of newly renovated Judge Adams home at 21 Pearl St. There will be a $8 donation to benefit the Forestville Fire Dept. & J Carter Knapp American Legion Post. Dunkirk Home Brew will be offering beer tasting by the barn.
