Lake Shore Savings Bank receives Hero Award

September 12, 2013
Westfield Republican / Mayville Sentinel News

On August 4, Lake Shore Savings Bank was presented with the 2013 Mikey's Way Hero Award at the Drive For Dreams Gala held at Brookfield Country Club. During the autumn of 2012, the Bank raised $25,000 in donations for the Mikey's Way Foundation. Ken Tirohn, Chairman of the Mikey's Way Foundation Board, presented Dan Reininga, President & CEO of Lake Shore Savings Bank, with eleven plaques-one for each of the Bank's branch locations. "I would personally like to thank everyone who helped bring awareness and raise enough money for five Mikey's Days," said Reininga. "Without the support of our customers, employees, and our Board of Directors this would not have been possible."

At the Gala, Lake Shore Savings announced that it will host a Mikey's Way Month this September, renewing its commitment to the Foundation by raising awareness for a second consecutive year. Each branch office will feature a Mikey's Cart display and will be selling raffle tickets to benefit the Foundation. The raffle winners will receive two tickets to one of two 2013 Buffalo Bills home games inside the Goal Line Club Suite. The Bank will also be raffling off a one-week stay for two in a condominium located in East Lake Woodlands, Oldsmar, Florida, to include airfare credit of $500.00. "We invite the local community to stop into any of our branch locations to find out more about the relationship between Lake Shore Savings and Mikey's Way," said Reininga.
