CHAUTAUQUA - On Sept. 1 at about 9:14 p.m. Sheriff's Deputies observed a vehicle parked on Davis Rd. in the Town of Chautauqua with an occupant inside of it. Upon checking on the vehicle and its occupant, the vehicle attempted to leave the area. Deputies were able to speak with the operator, Scott D. Hosken, 53, of Lakeview NY, and after a brief investigation allege that Hosken was operating his vehicle in an intoxicated condition. Deputies did arrest Hosken for Driving While Intoxicated. Hosken was processed and later released with traffic tickets charging him with Driving While Intoxicated, Driving with .08 of 1% or more alcohol, and Unlawful Possession of Marihuana. Hosken will appear in the Town of Chautauqua Court at a later date and time.

CHAUTAUQUA - On Sept. 2 at about 9:05 p.m. Chautauqua County Sheriff's Deputies along with NYSP responded to a report of a fight on Plank Rd. Upon arrival and further investigation it was alleged that Ricky Zentz did drive his vehicle to a camp site and ram his vehicle into a Winnebago camper while people were inside the camper. Zentz also allegedly tried to hit a person outside of the camper with his vehicle as well. Zentz was taken into custody and arraigned in the Town of Chautauqua Court where he was committed to CCJ for the charges of criminal mischief 3rd and reckless endangerment 2nd. Zentz will appear back in court at a later date and time.

CHAUTAUQUA - On Sept. 2 Chautauqua County Sheriff's Deputies investigated an alleged forcible touching incident that occurred on Plank Rd in the Town of Chautauqua. Upon further investigation it was alleged that Douglas A. Swan did forcibly touch a female by grabbing her buttocks and genital area. Swan was issued an appearance ticket for forcible touching and will appear in court at a later date and time.

WESTFIELD - On Sept. 8 the Chautauqua County Sheriff's office along with Westfield Police, Westfield Fire Department and Mayville Fire Department, responded to Route 394 in the Town of Westfield for the report of a pedestrian being struck by a car. Sean Carlson was operating a vehicle and was traveling north on Route 394. Dorothy Reardon was walking in the road and wearing dark clothing. Carlson did not see Reardon and Reardon was struck. Reardon was transported to Westfield Hospital for apparently non-life threatening injuries. No charges were filed.

MAYVILLE - On Sept. 7 at about 4:32 p.m. Sheriff's Deputies on patrol observed a subject operating a vehicle on Water St. in the Village of Mayville who was known to have a suspended driver's license. The vehicle was stopped and Henry B. Stovall, 36, of Mayville NY was identified as the operator. Stovall's license was suspended pending prosecution for an alcohol related offense. Stovall was issued traffic tickets charging him with Aggravated Unlicensed Operation 2nd degree, and he will appear in the Town of Chautauqua Court at a later date and time.

CHAUTAUQUA - On Sept. 8 at about 4:55 p.m. Sheriff's Deputies on patrol observed a side by side recreational vehicle to be operating in the normal driving lane of Rt 394 in the Village of Mayville. Deputies allege that the recreational vehicle made several lane violations, failed to signal a turn, and upon Deputies attempting to stop the vehicle, it fled through several different properties and finally stopped on Clark St in the Village of Mayville. The operator of the vehicle was identified as Erik, J. Lindquist, 32, of Kennedy NY. After a short investigation, Deputies allege that Lindquist was operating his vehicle in an intoxicated condition and arrested Lindquist for Driving While Intoxicated. Lindquist was processed and later released with traffic tickets charging him with unregistered motor vehicle, fail to use designated lane, no turn signal, fail to comply with a lawful order of a police officer, driving while intoxicated, and driving with .08 of 1% or more alcohol. Lindquist will appear in the Town of Chautauqua Court at a later date and time.
