Kenneth C. Bourne

WESTFIELD - Kenneth C. Bourne, age 67, of Oak St., Westfield, N.Y., died Sunday, June 30, 2013, at home with his family by his side.

Kenneth was born on Jan. 29, 1946, in Westfield, N.Y., the son of the late Charles K. and Florence (Grien) Bourne.

A Westfield resident all his life, Kenny was a 1964 graduate of Westfield Academy and Central School. He was well known in Chautauqua County as an excellent disc jockey and entertainer. For over five years, Kenny had been the "resident" DJ for the War Vets Club in Jamestown.

He enjoyed all types of music but was especially a fan of Elvis Presley. However, Kenny also enjoyed country and western as well as 1950's and 1960's music. He loved to entertain his family and friends at outings and family events with his vast collection of music.

He had been employed at MA Borand Machine Co., in Ripley, N.Y., for many years as well as at Crawford Furniture and Cliffstar Corp., where he retired.

Kenny greatly enjoyed the great outdoors and loved to garden. He was a member of the Wm. P Jackway Post 6764 VFW and the Loyal Order Of Moose Lodge No. 118, both in Westfield.

He is survived by his wife of 28 years, Cheryl (Thompson) Bourne, whom he married on June 28, 1985, in Ripley; his one sister, Virginia A. Warner of Westfield; and his one brother, George P. "Pete" Bourne of Westfield.

Friends may call on Friday, July 5 from 4 to 7 p.m., at the Mason Funeral Home, 37 Clinton St., Westfield and are invited to attend the funeral service to be held at 11 a.m., on Saturday, July 6 at The First United Methodist Church Of Westfield, 101 E. Main St., Westfield with Rev. Matthew Golibersuch officiating. Private burial will be in Grahamville Cemetery, North East, Pa.

Memorials may be made to The Fire Department of Westfield Special Equipment Fund, 23 Elm St., Westfield, N.Y. 14787 or to Hospice of Chautauqua County, 20 W. Fairmont Ave., Lakewood, N.Y. 14750.
