NORTH HARMONY - Matthew W. Chapman, 26, of Mayville was charged with operating a motor vehicle with less than two headlights and third-degree aggravated unlicensed operation on Thursday, June 27.

According to the sheriff's office, deputies on patrol on Route 394 in the Town of North Harmony allegedly observed a vehicle operating with less than two working headlights around 1 a.m. The vehicle was stopped and Chapman was allegedly identified as the operator. A check of Chapman's driver's license revealed he was allegedly operating the vehicle on a suspended license. Deputies arrested Chapman and released him with traffic citations to appear in North Harmony Town Court on a later date.

NORTH HARMONY - Samaira M. Dros, 20, of Dunkirk was remanded to the Chautauqua County Jail on charges of second-degree harassment and unlawful possession of marihuana on Thursday, June 27.

According to the sheriff's office, deputies on patrol in the Town of North Harmony allegedly observed a vehicle operating a high rate of speed around 11:30 p.m. The vehicle was stopped, and, during the traffic stop, it was found Dros, a passenger in the vehicle, allegedly had a warrant from North Harmony Town Court from a previous harassment charge from 2009. Dros was taken into custody on the warrant. Upon arraignment in Chautauqua Town Court, Dros was allegedly found to be in possession of a bag of marihuana. Dros was remanded to jail on bail for the North Harmony warrant and will appear in Chautauqua Town Court on a later date for the marihuana charge.

CHAUTAUQUA - Joshua Sundlov, 25, of Mayville was charged with driving while intoxicated and second-degree aggravated unlicensed operation on Saturday, June 29.

According to the sheriff's office, Sundlov was allegedly traveling westbound on Hannum Road in the Town of Chautauqua when he lost control, striking a ditch and rolling the vehicle over around 3:15 a.m. Sundlov was allegedly transported by the fire department to Westfield Memorial Hospital for treatment of injuries. A subsequent investigation led to DWI charge and numerous vehicle and traffic charges.

MAYVILLE - Garth N. Blanchard, 21, of Mayville was charged with driving while intoxicated, resisting arrest and second-degree obstruction government administration on Sunday, June 30.

According to the sheriff's office, deputies allegedly attempted to stop a subject riding an ATV on Valley Street in Mayville around 3:45 a.m., when the subject ditched the ATV and ran from deputies. The subject was allegedly apprehended after a foot pursuit and identified as Blanchard. A subsequent investigation led to his arrest. Blanchard was released and will appear in Chautauqua Town Court on a later date.

CHAUTAUQUA - Amber Fisher, 21, of Ashville was charged with failed to keep right on Sunday, June 30.

According to the sheriff's office, Fisher was allegedly traveling west on Route 394 in the Town of Chautauqua around 7 a.m., in her 2004 Toyota sedan when she stated she fell asleep. The vehicle allegedly drifted over the centerline into the opposite lane of traffic. The vehicle allegedly continued to drift onto the shoulder of the opposite lane, striking a utility pole with the front passenger side of her vehicle, shearing off the pole at its base. The vehicle allegedly continued down an embankment and overturned, landing on its roof. Fisher allegedly received only minor injuries and was not transported for medical attention. The driver was allegedly wearing a seatbelt, which prevented any major injuries. A ticket was issued.

MAYVILLE - Douglas E. Fischer, 46, of Erie St., Mayville was committed to the Chautauqua County Jail on charges of third-degree criminal mischief and disorderly conduct on Sunday, June 30.

According to the sheriff's office, deputies, along with the Westfield Police Department, responded to a disorderly person at Crosby's Market in Mayville around 7 p.m. Upon arrival and further investigation, it was allegedly found Fischer became aggressive and irate towards Crosby's staff. Fischer allegedly yelled obscenities at the staff, pushed a customer and then flipped over a newspaper stand and a sunglasses stand. Fischer allegedly caused damage to several merchandise items in the store. Fischer was placed into custody and arraigned in Chautauqua Town Court. He was committed to jail with no bail and will appear in Chautauqua Town Court on a later date.
