WESTFIELD - Junes T. (Hutchinson) Ossman, age 82, of Hardscrabble Rd., Westfield, N.Y., died Monday, June 10, 2013, at Absolut Care of Westfield.

Junes was born on Feb. 11, 1931, in Westfield, the daughter of the late Louis, Sr. and Thelma (Bates) Hutchinson.

Junes was a Chautauqua County resident all her life. Following high school graduation, she was employed by "Sam the Greek" at his restaurant and candy store in Westfield. Junes loved the restaurant business and one day hoped to have her own restaurant. Her dream came true when she became the owner of The Farmer's Daughter's restaurant in Westfield, which she operated for 13 years.

She was a devoted and loving wife and mother. Junes was dedicated to raising her three children and working with her husband on the family farm on Hardscrabble Road. Junes was a member of the First Presbyterian Church and Society of Westfield.

She is survived by her one son, Richard A. Ossman of Westfield, N.Y.; her two daughters, Roxann S. (John) Dean of Wilmington, Ohio and Brenda K. (James) Ossman-Howard of Reading, Mass.; her eight grandchildren, Jason L. Dean and Janell Iva Dean of Wilmington, Ohio, Kristine and Kelsey Ossman of Westfield, N.Y., and Jacqueline (David) Merritt, Richard Aaron (Tracey) Dotson, Andrew J. Dotson, Junes E. Ossman-Dotson all of Massachusetts; several great-grandchildren; her brother, Louie Hutchinson, Jr., of Westfield; and her sister-in-law, Ruth Ossman-Grono of Winter Haven, Fla.

She was preceded in death her husband, Richard J. Ossman, whom she married on Nov. 30, 1949, and who died on Dec. 17, 2002; her two sisters, Elaire Ellis and Georgette Peterson; her father, Louis Hutchinson, Sr.; and her mother, Thelma Bates Hutchinson Dawley.

Friends called on Wednesday, June 12 from 4 to 7 p.m., at the Mason Funeral Home, 37 Clinton Street, Westfield, N.Y. The funeral service will be held at 11 a.m., on Thursday, June 13 at The First Presbyterian Church and Society of Westfield, 49 S. Portage St., Westfield, N.Y. with Rev. Stephen Morse officiating. Burial will be in Westfield Cemetery.

The Ossman family has suggested that memorials may be made to Northern Chautauqua Canine Rescue, 7540 North Gale St., Westfield, N.Y. 14787.
