WESTFIELD - Leonard J. Erhard, 35, of E. Chautauqua St., Mayville was arrested on charges of open container on Wednesday, May 29.

According to the police office, it was dispatched to two suspicious males at 15 Market Street around 7:30 p.m. Upon arrival, police allegedly found Erhard to be in possession of an open bottle of beer. Erhard was issued an appearance ticket and is due back in Westfield Village Court on a later date.

WESTFIELD - Amanda K. Overbeck, 25, of Jamestown was charged with driving while intoxicated, DWI per se and move from lane unsafely on Thursday, May 30.

According to the police office, it investigated a vehicle accident on South Portage Street around 11:30 p.m. During the investigation, it is alleged a vehicle operated by Overbeck had driven across the white hazard markings of the roadway and struck a parked car. Upon further investigation, it was allegedly found Overbeck was operating her vehicle in an intoxicated state. She was charged and is to appear in Westfield Village Court on a later date.

WESTFIELD - Jesse A. Newman, 47, of Cass St., Westfield was arrested and remanded to the Chautauqua County Jail on charges of two counts of criminal possession of a controlled substance and endangering the welfare of a child on Friday, May 31.

According to the police office, it responded to a residence on Cass Street for a harassment complaint around 10 p.m. Upon arrival, officers allegedly observed a male who was later identified as Newman smoking a controlled substance. Upon further investigation, Newman was allegedly found to be in possession of Psilocybin mushrooms and Fentanyl. Newman was charged, with the endangering charge stemming from a child allegedly being in close proximity to drug use. Newman was arraigned in Westfield Village Court, bail was set, and he was remanded to jail.

WESTFIELD - Andrew R. George, 20, of Erie, Pa., was charged with unlawful possession of marijuana and speed in zone on Saturday, June 1.

According to the police office, policed stopped a vehicle allegedly speeding on West Main Street in the Village of Westfield around 7:30 p.m. Upon investigation, George was allegedly found to be in possession of a small quantity of marijuana. George was issued a uniform traffic ticket and an appearance ticket to appear in Westfield Village Court on a later date.

WESTFIELD - Thomas F. Stoughton, 30, of E. Route 20, Westfield was arrested on charges of first-degree aggravated unlicensed operator, aggravated driving while intoxicated 0.18 percent or higher and failure to stop at sign on Saturday, June 1.

According to the police office, an officer on patrol on Route 20 in the Town of Westfield allegedly observed a vehicle fail to stop at a stop sign on Creamery Road at Route 20 around 11:15 p.m. Upon further investigation, it was determined the vehicle was allegedly being operated by Stoughton who was found to be intoxicated. Upon a check of Stoughton's driver's license, it was allegedly found to be suspended due to a prior drinking and driving offense. Officers charged Stoughton who will answer charges on a later date in the Westfield Town Court. Westfield police were assisted by the Chautauqua County Sheriff's Department.
