The Westfield-Mayville Rotary Club auction's $500 drawing came just in time for winner Kelly Szymanowicz, who has a particular intent on how to spend it.

"We're looking for a house," she said of herself and her fiance, club member Adam Dimitri.

Dimitri popped the question at Christmas time. Although still engaged, it's time to go house hunting for the future.

Rotarian Don Dowling, left, won $494 in a 50/50 drawing at the Rotary auction. Rotary member Adele Harrington, center, was ticket vendor for the evening. Don’s wife, Audrey, is pictured at right.

Szymanowicz is director of finance for The Resource Center in Jamestown, but the couple is looking for a home in Fredonia where Dimitri and Szymanowicz grew up, she said, adding, a thanks to Rotary for the opportunity to win $500.

Next on the list of coincidences was the drawing for 46 bottles of various brands and flavors of wine, all donated by Rotary Club members. At the helm conducting this drawing was Rotarian J.B. Dunn. The winner was none other than John Dimitri, Adam's father.

Last but not least was a 50/50 drawing of tickets sold throughout the evening by Rotarian Adele Harrington and family. These added up to $494 for the winner, Don Dowling, also a Rotarian.

All in all, the annual Rotary Club auction was a fun evening for all and rewarding for many.
