Adam R. Murphy, 45, of 8490 Brownell Rd., Clymer, N.Y., passed away suddenly Monday, May 6, 2013, at Corry Memorial Hospital, Corry, Pa.

He was born March 27, 1968, in Hopkinsville, Ky., the son of Charles and Bonnie Unfried Murphy.

Adam was a loving husband, a wonderful father and a good son. His family was everything to him. He enjoyed music and was a talented guitarist. The farm he and his family had settled on was a constant joy to him. He shared his joy with his children and has left them with a love of the farm and the outdoors. Adam was a talented designer and machinist and leaves behind a legacy of work well done.

Adam is survived by his wife, Melissa Tenpas Murphy, of Clymer, N.Y., whom he married May 3, 2003; his children, Jacob and Erin Murphy; two brothers, Charles Murphy of Hopkinsville, Ky., and John Murphy of Portland Ore.; his sister; Rosie (Troy) Thomas of Cadiz, Ky.; mother, Bonnie Murphy of Eddyville, Ky.; two nephews, Preston Murphy and Charles "Grayson" Thomas; and two nieces, Montana and Mia Murphy.

He was preceded in death by his father, Charles Perry Murphy from Hopkinsville, Ky., who died Oct. 1, 1993; and by his maternal and paternal grandparents.

A mass of Christian burial was held at 1 p.m., Saturday, May 11 at St. Matthias RC Church, French Creek with Fr. John Trela celebrant. Burial was in Clymer Center Cemetery. Friends were received from 2 to 4 p.m. and 7 to 9 p.m., Friday at the Spitzer Funeral Home, Clymer, N.Y.
