Taylor Tree Service of Ripley, Erie, Pa., and Pittsburgh, Pa., recently hosted a series of safety certification trainings. Attending the trainings along with Taylor Tree Service were Adirondack Tree Surgeons of Gansevoort, Covey Tree Service of Frewsburg and Skywalker Tree Service of Edinboro, Pa.
The intense week of training is an intricate step in satisfying both OSHA and ANSI standards for the tree care industry. Those in attendance at the week-long trainings were certified in CPR and First Aid, Electrical Hazard Awareness Preparedness, Electrical Line Clearance Certification for Arborists, Bucket Rescue and Climbing Rescue.
"Providing education is a key component toward moving the tree care industry forward in our area and our in our country," owner and president of Taylor Tree Service Bill Bentley said.
Electrical Hazard Awareness Preparedness training is shown.
The tree care industry is one of the top three "most dangerous occupations," education on safety for the work force is vital to the mission of Taylor Tree Service.
"We educate our employees and we feel it's time to educate the public that a professional tree service will have employees who are well trained and who perform in a professional manner," Bentley said.
