Mayville, Chautauqua to hold second annual community wide yard sales

May 15, 2013
Westfield Republican / Mayville Sentinel News

CHAUTAUQUA - The Mayville-Chautauqua Community Chamber of Commerce is hosting the second annual community wide yard sales on Saturday, May 25 for the Mayville and Chautauqua areas.

Maps and lists of those holding sales by address will be available free to print online at www.mayvillechautauqua.org and the Mayville Chautauqua Chamber Facebook page after Friday, May 17. The map and list will also be available the day of the sale for $1 to offset printing and mailing costs at the Village Green Park, uptown Mayville, from 8 a.m. to noon. The maps will then be available at nearby local businesses after noon during the sale day. See park sign for locations. It is suggested yard sales begin by 9 a.m. at the latest.

If any Mayville or Chautauqua residents are interested in holding a yard sale Memorial Day weekend and would like to have their sale address listed and placed on the map at a cost of $5 per sale to help with event printing and mailing expenses, call the Mayville-Chautauqua Chamber at 753-3113 by Thursday, May 16 to have a participation form mailed or emailed or go to the above listed website and Facebook page to download a printed copy of the form.

Local businesses are invited to participate, also, in having a special sale listed on the map and list. There will be no cost to Mayville-Chautauqua Chamber member businesses to be placed on the map. The form includes the necessary information to sign up to participate. Each yard sale address will be allowed to have one line to list the categories of items for sale or, in the case of a business, to list what's happening at the business that day.

Call the Mayville-Chautauqua Community Chamber of Commerce office at 753-3113 with any questions or needed additional information. This will be an excellent opportunity to clear out those unwanted items. Those who love yard sales will have a day full of treasure hunting from Mayville to Chautauqua.
