MAYVILLE - On Saturday, May 18 there will be a benefit for Diane Thompson at the American Legion in Mayville from 5 to 9 p.m.
The admission for dinner and the event is $10. Dinner will be at 5 p.m., with a meat raffle, 32" Emerson TV raffle and silent auction to follow.
On March 9, doctors at St. Vincent's Hospital discovered an aneurism in Thompson's brain. On March 11, she had brain surgery. She then spent the next two weeks in intensive care. She was able to come home on March 22 and has been making an amazing recovery.
There will be a benefit for Diane Thompson, pictured above, on Saturday, May 18 at the American Legion in Mayville from 5 to 9 p.m.
Diane works at Lighthouse Point Grocery and Dollar General in Mayville. She won't be able to work until the end of May or beginning of June. That is all depending on how her recovery progresses.
The Diane Thompson Benefit Fund has also been established at Greater Chautauqua Federal Credit Union in Mayville where cash or check donations will be accepted.
