Judith A. Davis Schauman

Judith A. Davis Schauman, 70, of High Acres, Bemus Point, formerly of Cassadaga, passed away Wednesday (May 1, 2013) in UPMC Hamot, Erie, Pa.

A lifelong area resident, she was born Nov. 5, 1942, in Dunkirk, the daughter of the late Thomas and Mary Tyler Mizwa.

Judy was a graduate of Fredonia High School, had been employed by Kimberly-Clark in Dunkirk and was a devoted mother and wife.

She was a member of the High Acres Association, Cassadaga Kiwanis Club and Red Hat Society. Judy enjoyed spending time with her children, grandchildren and great-grandchildren and painting.

Surviving are her husband, Donald L. Schauman whom she married Oct. 14, 1995, in Orchard Park, N.Y.; eight daughters, Brenda Olmstead of Sinclairville, Pat Davis of Brandon, Fla., Sue (Bruce) Penhollow of Sinclairville, Dianna Davis (Bernie Jones) of Jamestown, Kathy (Rick) Dascenzo of Cassadaga, Gail Davis of Jamestown, Jackie (Derek) Hills of Fredonia, Dee (Randy) Crampton of Fredonia; three step-sons, Wayne Schauman of Bemus Point, Larry Schauman of Bemus Point and Dana (Linda) Schauman of Westfield; 27 grandchildren; 27 great-grandchildren; a brother, Ronald (Claire Ann) Mizwa of Crossville, Tenn.; and numerous nieces and nephews.

Besides her parents she was preceded in death by her first husband, H. Jack Davis who died March 20, 1994; a brother, Charles "Chuck" Mizwa; and a grandson, Fay James Greenawalt, Jr.

A memorial service was held at 11 a.m., Saturday, May 4 in the Falconer Funeral Home. Rev. Brett Heinztman of Jamestown Free Methodist Church officiated. Friends were received by the family one hour prior to the memorial service Saturday in the funeral home.

In lieu of flowers, memorials may be donated to the Cassadaga Kiwanis Club or to a charity of ones choice.
