NE Welch FCU celebrating Youth Week

April 24, 2013
Westfield Republican / Mayville Sentinel News

NORTH EAST, Pa. - What kid wouldn't want to throw on a trench coat, dust off an old magnifying glass and slap on a play mustache to become a detective for a day?

Children everywhere are intrigued by the thrill of mysteries and the detectives who solve them. Little do these kids know they also have the ability to tap into detective mode by investigating ways to save and becoming a credit union savings sleuth during Youth Week at the North East Welch FCU.

This year's theme, "Savings Sleuth, Solve the Mystery," gives youth and teens the clues they need to uncover the mystery of saving. To help lead them down the path of savings, the credit union will offer incentives and prizes to its young members and children who are eligible to join the credit union. Credit union members between the ages of 17 and 24 who are applying for the 2012 Erie Chapter of Credit Unions James J. DeDad Scholarship will also be offered an incentive just for bringing their application to North East Welch FCU during youth week. Scholarship applications are available online at or at any participating credit union location.

Individuals can belong to the North East Welch FCU if they live, work, worship or attend school in eastern Erie County, Pa., and Western Chautauqua County in New York. Whatever young sleuths are saving for, the credit union can give them the clues they need to uncover the mystery of saving. Stop by the office located at 115 Clay Street during the week of Monday, April 22 through Friday, April 26 and get in on the action. Incentives include a NEXUS 7 Tablet and tickets to Erie Zoo and the SeaWolves.

Official sweepstakes rules are posted at the NE Welch FCU office or can be found on its website at
