WESTFIELD - Kenneth C. Emery, Jr., 42, of Bourne St., Westfield was charged with driving while intoxicated, DWI per se 0.08 percent or higher, improper turn, failure to keep right and failure to maintain lane on Saturday, April 13.
According to the police office, an officer on patrol on East Main Street in the Village of Westfield allegedly observed a vehicle make in improper turn onto East Main Street, nearly striking the curb on the south side of the roadway around 2:30 a.m. The officer allegedly observed the operator cross the center yellow lines and white hazard marking multiple times. The officer stopped the vehicle and allegedly identified the operator as Emery. Upon further investigation, Emery was allegedly found to be intoxicated. Emery was charged and will appear in Westfield Village Court on a later date to answer the charges.
WESTFIELD - Austin Solo-Sakss, 19, of Prendergast Ave., Jamestown was arrested on a bench warrant for trespass and remanded to Chautauqua County Jail on Saturday, April 13.
According to the police office, Jamestown Police Department officers allegedly come into contact with Solo-Sakss in Jamestown. He allegedly had an active bench warrant out of Westfield Town Court for failure to appear in court on a previous date. Solo-Sakss was placed in custody and turned over to Westfield police. Westfield police arraigned Solo-Sakss in Westfield Town Court. He was unable to post bail and was remanded to jail. Solo-Sakss will appear in Westfield Town Court on a later date.
WESTFIELD - Joseph R. Cornelius, 34, of Cherry St., Erie, Pa., was charged with third-degree aggravated unlicensed operator and speed in zone on Sunday, April 14.
According to the police office, an officer on patrol on West Main Street in the Village of Westfield allegedly observed a vehicle at a high rate of speed for zone around 8:30 p.m. The vehicle was allegedly found to be operated by Cornelius. Upon further investigation, Cornelius' license was allegedly found to be suspended in New York State. The Officer issued traffic citations, and Cornelius will appear in Westfield Village Court on a later date.
WESTFIELD - Howard F. Nichols, 40, of Cass St., Westfield was charged with dangerous dog on Tuesday, April 16.
According to the police office, it received a complaint from a Westfield resident that, in the early morning hours of April 14, Nichols' dog allegedly attacked the Westfield resident's dog. The Westfield resident reported his dog died from the injuries of the attack. On April 16 around 10:30 a.m., Nichols was issued an appearance ticket to appear in front of Westfield Village Court Judge LaPorte on Thursday, April 18.
