Beloved daughter, sister, wife, mother, grandmother and friend, Joan Fay Koerselman Neckers, 62, in mercy passed peacefully on Sunday, April 14, 2013, at Hamot Medical Center.
She was born Feb. 25, 1951, to the late Harry and Lena Koerselman of Clymer, N.Y.
Joan was a 1968 graduate of Clymer Central. She was happily married to her high school sweetheart, Larry A. Neckers (1948-2008), for 39 years. Together, they worked lovingly on their home in Findley Lake, N.Y., and raised their daughters. Joan's greatest treasures were her family.

After attending cosmetology school in Jamestown, N.Y., she styled and served her customers for many years. Joan served her community through years of volunteer work with the Findley Lake Fire Department. Joan retired from Maplevale Farms in 2010 after more than 25 years as a devoted employee. Her hobbies included painting, gardening, crafting and the sport of shopping.
Joan is survived by her daughters, Laura (David) Moran of Cannan, Conn., and Missy (Scott) Howard of Attica, N.Y.; six grandchildren, Mary, John, Anne and Daniel Moran, Zakry and Jake Howard; two sisters, Lois (Ron) Legters of Clymer, N.Y., and Lluella (Paul) Caflisch of Clymer, N.Y.; a brother, Jerrold (Marcia) Koerselman of Clymer, N.Y.; sister-in-law, Sandra Koerselman of Clymer, N.Y.; as well as many extended family members.
Besides her parents, she was preceded in death by her two brothers, Allan and Kenton Koerselman.
The funeral will be held Friday, April 19 at the Findley Lake United Methodist Church at 3 p.m., with Pastor Connie Neckers officiating. Friends will be received for one hour prior to the service at church. Memorials may be made to the Findley Lake Volunteer Fire Department, P.O.
