Lake Erie shipwrecks course
Shipwrecks of Lake Erie: Fire, Storm and Collision will be explored on Tuesday, April 23 at Jamestown Community College's Jamestown Campus. The non-credit program begins at 7 p.m., in the Carnahan Center. Tuition is $19. To register, call JCC's Center for Continuing Education at 338-1005.
Mike and Georgeann Wachter, divers who have published books on Lake Erie shipwrecks, will outline the military and commercial vessels that have been lost on the lake since the 1700s. According to the Wachters, Lake Erie may have the largest concentration of shipwrecks per square mile of any body of water in the world.

Turkey dinner in Westfield
The Kiwanis Club of Westfield-Ripley will be holding a turkey dinner with all the fixings on Thursday, April 25 at St. Dominic's Roman Catholic Church, 15 Union St, Westfield from 5 to 7 p.m., or until sold out. The dinner will include turkey, stuffing, mashed potatoes and gravy, corn, cranberry sauce, a roll and butter, dessert, coffee, tea and punch. The cost is $8 for those 12 and up, $5 for ages 4 to 12 and free for children under 4. The proceeds will be donated to the Juvenile Diabetes Research Foundation.

Spring Craft Bazaar in Findley Lake
It is time for the Spring Craft Bazaar in Findley Lake. The bazaar will be held on Saturday, May 4 from 10 a.m. to 4 p.m., at the fire hall on Main St., Findley Lake. A variety of crafters and bakers from the surrounding area will be selling their handmade crafts and baked goods. The kitchen committee will be serving a variety of homemade lunch items and pie throughout the day. Participating crafters have donated items for a silent auction. There will also be a 50/50 raffle, free door prize drawings throughout the day, and admission is free. The bazaar is sponsored by the Alexander Findley Library.
